After living 5 years in the United States we left North Carolina in May 2005 to start our long planned trip along the Panamerican Highway that should take about 2 to 3 years. We drove all the way up North to Alaska and spend 1 1/2 year traveling in North America until we reached the Caribbean. At that point we started to have a major problem with our engine, so we didn’t want to risk anything by continuing on our route. So we had to think about a solution and that’s when we decided to stay for a while and do something here, then we found this beautiful place here at the Laguna Bacalar and wanted to discover it and NOW we want YOU to discover it.
