Just a few meters outside the gate of Villas Ecotucan you are surrounded by jungle. |
Following small paths, you should walk quietly and patiently look as well as listen closely. |
Especially in the summer season (rainy) everything is lush and green and in the morning the jungle is almost mystical. In the winter, which is the dry season the jungle is less dense, since a lot of trees drop their leaves, which increases the chances of seeing any bigger animals. |
Our group sizes are very small what ensures an authentic experience and a chance to see some of the rare animals like one even one of the gracious cats. |
On our jungle walks you should wear long sleeves and pants but light clothes and closed comfortable shoes. |
Children under 10 years discover the surrounding jungle for free. |

If you are an active birdwatcher or if you are just interested in observing tropical birds you are definitely in the right place. The Yucatan peninsula is a unique region for birdwatching, especially in the winter months when all the migrants from the North spend their time here and a lot of migratory birds pass through. Also in the summer you can see migratory birds from the South, besides the amazing variety of beautiful species that occur here all year round. |
But there is always something to see and to learn, especially about the plants and animals, how they live and what kind of ecosystem they live in. |
